Advanced Routing Tab

This option is used to configure advanced and complex DMX routes that do not necessarily conform to the standard DMX packet length. Each route has the following parameters:

NEO Notes & Tips: Not all protocols allow for sending partial DMX packets.
  • Route - The ordered number of the DMX route itself. This is just a numerical listing and has no bearing on output or priority.
  • Start - The starting DMX address of the DMX route.
  • End - The finishing DMX address of the DMX route.
  • Protocol - The Ethernet protocol over which this advanced routing is allowed to be configured.
  • Net Slot - The starting location of the route on the Ethernet string.

For example, a route that starts at DMX 1 and ends at DMX 100 but is placed on the Ethernet at the Net Slot of 10,001. This is often used with multiple control signals going to the same range of DMX address thus allowing two points of control onto the same DMX device.

Notes - Allows for a simple short note for information on the route.

Advanced Routing Network Adapter - allows the user to determine the proper network interface card for the routing of the network signal.
