Command Line

Edward Updated by Edward

Regardless of the NEO hardware (Console, Compact 10 Console, Playback Controller or NEO PC), the features of the NEO software can be accessed through the Command Line Processor using a combination of keys on the faceplate, touch-screen monitor(s), pointing device(s) (mouse and/or trackball) and alphanumeric keyboard as equipped or added to the system. As commands are entered, they appear on the Command Line at the bottom of the main display as shown below.

When commands are executed, they are directed to the subsystem indicated by the “Command Line Target”, which is set by the subsystem that has current focus. The options are Live, Blind, Group and Patch. When in Live mode, the current active cue number will be displayed. In Group mode, the currently selected group will be displayed.

Some commands will display a list of soft keys with modifications to the current command that may be selected by clicking on the desired modifier with a pointing device, touch screen or a hardware shortcut key on the console if available.

In addition, a context sensitive help bubble may be shown if applicable. This is an option settable in System Properties>System Settings.

The NEO logo to the left of the “Command Line Target” is a toggle button that switches the Main Display to a command history window and back.
