Releasing Channels

Edward Updated by Edward

Channels whose values have been manually altered are said to be under channel control. Channels or individual attributes may be released from channel control by the following methods:

  • [RELEASE] – A two-step process: first press releases control of all attributes of selected channels; second press releases control of all changed attributes.
  • [GO] – Release channels on Cue Go. This is the default behavior which can be turned off in System Properties>Show Defaults>Cue Lists.
  • [SHIFT] + [RELEASE] – Releases all control of all channels.
  • [RELEASE] + [SUB] – Release all submaster control.
  • [RELEASE] + [FX] – Stop all running effects.
  • [RELEASE] + [GROUP] (#) – Release channels currently controlled by the specified applied group.
  • [RELEASE] + (attribute family) – Release specified attribute family values ([INTENSITY] | [POSITION] | [COLOR] | [BEAM] | [EDGE]).
  • [RELEASE] + (encoder press) – Release attribute currently assigned to the encoder. For position (pan & tilt) and color mixer (RGB, CMY, etc.), pressing any encoder will release all attributes in that category.
  • (channel list) [@] [ENTER] – Releases the intensity parameters of the channels in the list.
  • (channel list) [@] [.] [ENTER] – Releases all non-intensity parameters of the channels in the list.
  • (channel list) [@] (attribute family) [ENTER] - Release specified attribute family values ([INTENSITY] | [POSITION] | [COLOR] | [BEAM] | [EDGE]).
